The day starts at a local Balinese family's home, where you make canang sari offerings and sit by a fire ceremony, then moves to Tirta Empul for a guided visit and a melukat water purification in the temple's pools. A Balinese lunch rounds out the day, which suits anyone after hands-on culture and a sense of community more than a sightseeing stop. Pickup and drop-off run from Canggu and Ubud, or you can make your own way there.
