Local artisans guide you through making a mini penjor, the decorated bamboo pole of Balinese ceremony, and it's yours to carry home afterward. The day continues with a home-style lawar cooking session in a family-hosted setting, so you learn the tradition by making things with your hands. Proceeds support artisan households in Kemenuh, and pickup and drop-off from Canggu and Ubud is available if you don't want to make your own way.
